Montevertine is located in the heart of the Chianti hills, in the town of Radda in Chianti at 425 meters high. The site has been inhabited since the eleventh century. In fact, there are still traces of the original building, definitely a defensive character, then transformed into a country home. Montevertine was purchased in 1967 by Sergio Manetti, then a manufacturer of steel, as a holiday home. He restored the house to make it habitable and immediately planted two hectares of vineyard and set up a small winery with the idea of producing a bit ‘of wine for his friends and clients.
