Boscarelli farm was founded in 1962 in Cervognano di Montepulciano by Egidio Corradi, a wine enthusiast and son of an ancient Poliziana family, who wanted to rediscover the values and flavours of his homeland by purchasing two semi-abandoned farms.

Here, a short distance from Montepulciano, with the help of his daughter Paola and son-in-law Ippolito, Egidio Corradi planted the first vineyards and transformed the old stables into the company’s first winery.

Today, Luca and Nicola, the founder’s grandsons, guide the Boscarelli farm. Every day, they work to select and replant the vineyards in order to always enhance the flavours and characteristics of the different cultivated areas. From the very beginning, the philosophy of the company was centred on a deep respect for the environment and the biodiversity that characterises it, principles that are still reflected today in the meticulous care and management of every single plant.

The vineyards of the Boscarelli farm are located  east and north-east of Montepulciano and extend for 22 hectares. The cultivated varieties are mostly Sangiovese (80%), but there are also native varieties such as Canaiolo, Colorino, Mammolo, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.

The grapes are harvested by hand, destemmed and crushed and then left to ferment with native yeasts in steel or French oak vats. Refinement, on the other hand, is carried out in two phases: a first refinement in Allier or Slavonian oak barrels, and a second after bottling.

The production is mainly focused on Vino Nobile di Montepulciano (depending on the vintage, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, Riserva, Riserva Sotto Casa and Nocio are differentiated), but we also produce bottles of Boscarelli dei Boscarelli, Rosso di Montepulciano Prugnolo, and Rosso De Ferrari I.G.T, Vin Santo, Grappa and Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
