Tommaso Bussola

Tommaso Bussola is located between Negrar di Valpolicella and the hamlet of San Peretto, in the heart of Classico Valpolicella, with vineyards between 250 and 500 meters of altitude. The oldest plantings, 40-60 years old, follow the traditional Veronese pergola, while more recent ones use the guyot system.

Yes: Tommaso Bussola began working in 1977 at his uncle Giuseppe's estate, before vinifying on his own from 1983. In 1990 he bought a new plot, Casalin, expanding the vineyard area. Today he is joined by his wife Daniela and sons Paolo and Tommaso, with recognition also earned in the United States.

Production includes Classico Valpolicella's historic wines: Valpolicella Classico, Ripasso, Amarone and Recioto. The 'TB' label, created in the early 1990s, represents the winery's commitment to precision and quality, now recognized well beyond Italy's borders, particularly in America.

Only natural methods are used in the vineyard for pest control, such as Bacillus thuringiensis, to preserve environmental balance. Aging times and cask types vary depending on the vintage and the specific character of each harvest, in a spirit of continuous improvement.
