Distilled Sangiovese di Montalcino grape pomace aged in barriques for a least one year. This is a so-called meditation grappa, with a distinctive character made even more complex by having the grappa rest in small oak barrels. This not only gives the grappa an intense amber colour but gives the distilled liquor a surprisingly elegant and complex bouquet with sensations of vanilla, spices and dried fruit to offer the palate a warm and involving drink, with a well-defined personality.
