La Colombina was born as a company in 1997 for the need to enhance the property that the family had owned for generations in various points of the Castelnuovo dell’Abate area. Lands that, up to that period had been cultivated with the traditional system of our territory (olive trees, vines and small spaces for grazing). The choice of land, the exposure and orientation of the rows, the selection of clones and the form of farming have been taken care of in every detail by those who, with experience, are linked to the world of voticulture in Montalcino. The start of the new business created the need for a cellar set up with new technologies such as to confirm the high quality of the product.
