Elio Grasso
The Elio Grasso Winery was founded in the 1980s in Monforte d’Alba and is a family-run agricultural and wine business that produces wines of the highest quality. In fact, in the last century, the historian Lorenzo Fantini included their vineyards among the best in the Piedmont area.
The company philosophy is based on a deep respect for the territory and its diversity, which is reflected in unique, authentic and original flavours.
In order to keep the aromas of each wine produced unaltered, the Elio Grasso winery began vinifying and bottling the grapes from the different plots separately in 1978 and has progressively replanted varieties of Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto and Chardonnay.
The vineyards of the Elio Grasso winery extend over eighteen hectares in the Langhe region and produce a limited number of extremely high quality bottles.
The winery, despite its small size, is well equipped and designed to allow the grapes to be processed in a rational and differentiating manner for each individual vineyard. The vinification and fermentation processes take place in a completely natural way, so that even the youngest wines have a perfect balance.
Among the wines produced by the Elio Grasso winery are Barbera and Barolo.
