Costanti
The Conti Costanti winery is one of the oldest in Montalcino.
The name of “Tito Costanti” appears among the first producers in the territory of Montalcino and it was him who, at a wine exhibition in 1870, presented a wine characterised by the same production rules that distinguish Brunello di Montalcino DOCG and Rosso di Montalcino DOC today. Since then, the Brunello di Montalcino wines produced by the Costanti family have varied and become increasingly rare and prestigious, to the point of being exported throughout Italy and the world. Today the winery is run by Andrea Costanti, who continues the family’s four-year tradition, creating complex, long-lived wines with an elegant structure and intense, refined aromas.
The vineyards cover ten hectares at an altitude between 310 and 440 metres above sea level and are planted with Sangiovese Grosso, Merlot and Cabernet, used to produce Brunello di Montalcino, Rosso di Montalcino and spirits.
The harvesting, vinification and ageing processes perfectly integrate the ancient winemaking traditions typical of the Costanti family with innovative production techniques, so that elegant, authentic and immediately recognisable wines are always obtained.
The Conti Santi Winery’s excellent wines include: Brunello di Montalcino (vintage or “Riserva” version) and Rosso di Montalcino (vintage or “Vermiglio” version).
