Villa Sant'Anna

Villa Sant'Anna is located in the Abbadia di Montepulciano area, among the hills of southern Tuscany, and is one of the oldest wineries in the Montepulciano area. The winery produces Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG and Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG.

Yes: the winery's origins go back to the 19th century, when the property was part of the large estate belonging to the maternal family of Simona Ruggeri Fabroni. Today Villa Sant'Anna is run by an entirely female team, made up of Simona Ruggeri and her daughters Anna and Margherita, who carry forward almost two centuries of family winemaking tradition.

Vino Nobile di Montepulciano production began in 1993, while bottling of Chianti Colli Senesi dates back as early as the 1990 vintage. Since 2005 the winery has also selected a premium version of Vino Nobile, called Poldo, reserved for the best vintages.
