The Rabissi farm born in the end of 1800 with Pietro Rabissi, who cultivated his land with olive trees, vegetables and cereals to feed his family, the cow and the donkey. In 1982 Giuseppino Rabissi, Pietro’s nephew, planted the first vineyard of the farm with Sangiovese grape, currently productive, and he started the production and selling of the grapes. Over time, Giuseppino was helped by his son Francesco and his nephew Federico. From 2009 on, Federico becomes the owner of the farm with the precious help of his family. The Rabissi farm is situated in Castelnuovo dell’Abate, near Montalcino, in the south of Tuscany, on a hill where the Sant’Antimo abbey is. The farm’s lands are extended on 4 hectars, one is cultivated with vineyards, 2,5 with olive trees and the remaining surface is occupied by woods. Actually the Rabissi farm produces about 3.000 bottles of Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, 1.000 bottles of Rosso di Montalcino DOC.
