Poggio alle Forche

Poggio alle Forche takes its name from the estate of the same name, located near the Basilica of Sant'Antimo, in Castelnuovo dell'Abate, in the municipality of Montalcino, where part of the winery's grapes are grown.

In the mid-20th century Ofelio Cherubini bought the Scarnacuoia estate, in the renowned Brunello di Montalcino area. After forty years as grape growers for a major local winery, his daughter Giuliana and her husband Lorenzo Turchi decided to take over the family's land and traditions, launching the Poggio alle Forche label.

Production includes 'Scarnacuoia 288', a Brunello di Montalcino named after the historic estate, and a Rosso di Montalcino, both expressions of the Turchi family's bond with their ancestral land.
