Franco Pacenti
The winery Franco Pacenti stands at the foot of the hill of Montalcino, on the north-eastern side, in the basin of the Canalicchio, classic and historical area, counted among the most suitable of the title. Founded in the ’60s by the father Rosildo, is still managed family-owned by Franco Pacenti and his sons Lisa, Serena and Lorenzo, the third generation of the family that, proud of its past, looks to the future without ever taking for granted values and traditions.
The company covers an area of 36 hectares of which 10 are vineyards. The only vine cultivated is the Sangiovese from which the Rosso di Montalcino DOC, the Brunello di Montalcino DOCG and the Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Riserva are produced. At the same time, elegant and powerful wines, the result of the perfect combination of traditional knowledge and modern technology, an expression of the territory and of the men who cultivate it.
We also produce Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Grappa di Brunello.The Pacenti family is pleased to welcome you for a visit of the winery and a tasting of its products, which can be accompanied by bruschetta, local cheeses and salami and, by reservation, even from typical Tuscan dishes, respecting the short supply chain.
Owned by the family, it can also be visited the Church of the Madonna degli Angeli, dating back to the fourteenth century.
