The winery was founded in 1971 and has produced Brunello di Montalcino for over fifty years. In early 2023 the property was acquired by Enrico and Marco Faccenda, entrepreneurs linked to Cascina Chicco in Roero, Piedmont, who took over the historic estate and continued its production.
What wines does Croce di Mezzo produce?
Production includes Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, also in Riserva version, Rosso di Montalcino DOC, Grappa di Brunello, Rosolio and, in recent years, a Sangiovese Rosato. The winery also produces a Supertuscan called Crociato Nero.
