Chiesina di Lacona is located in Capoliveri, on the Isle of Elba, with nine hectares of vineyard overlooking the Lacona area, facing the Romanesque church of Madonna della Neve, dating back to the 12th century, from which the winery takes its name. Production falls under the Elba DOC and Elba DOCG appellations.

Who founded the Chiesina di Lacona winery?

The property, bought in 1947 by Carlo Fiocchi, passed by inheritance to Maria Alessandra Borletti, who in 1976 moved to Elba with her husband Claudio Alampi, giving the business a stronger winemaking direction. The first own-label vintage, however, dates only to 2019, when her son Filippo Alampi relaunched the winery, after years of selling grapes to other producers.
