The Tenuta Castelgiocondo takes its name from the homonymous village that houses it, a historic stronghold built in the middle of 1100 for the defense of the territory, then converted in 1800 to a wine cellar within which to produce Brunello di Montalcino.

The estate became the property of the family in 1989 and today produces Grappa di Brunello, Rosso di Montalcino Campo ai Sassi, Brunello di Montalcino and Toscana I.G.T. Lamaione. Within the historic vineyards, located 450 meters above the level of evil, we grow Sangiovese grosso and Merlot, and we produce elegant wines, rich in aromas and personality and with great aging capacity.

Every process of grape processing is based on tradition and with the utmost respect for nature and its aromas, for this reason the harvest is manual and characterized by a careful selection, The fermentation takes place in steel tanks at controlled temperature with frequent pumping over, the maceration is in oak barrels and the last phase is represented by a further aging in the bottle, before being put on the market.
