The Brunello di Montalcino of Fattoria dei Barbi has a bright and concentrated ruby colour. The nose smells of ripe strawberry, dog rose, sweet spices, sage, anise and iris. In the mouth it is warm and open, balanced, long and supported by a good acidity, yielding tannins and excellent structure. How good with grilled venison sausages!
