The phases of growth have developed much early, in fact there has been a lead of about fifteen days compared to average for the area, caused by high temperatures recorded in that period. Already at the beginning of April, the vines have budded, this phase which normally occurs in the second decade of the same month. The spring months of May and June were very wet, with short periods of time – a week or ten days – very warm and sunny. This has allowed that the successive stages of evolution of the screw remained until early July. Also during the month of July there were many rainy days, which helped keep vines in good vegetative state. With the month of August – particularly in the second phase – there has been a sharp rise in temperature, which has led to a re-balancing. Between late August and early September, temperatures were high, with consequent influence on the grapes, whose sugar levels that have risen a lot and with a tendency withering.
